Abstract
Laser ablation-deposition has become one of the most widely used techniques for synthesizing high temperature superconducting thin films. Therefore, it is important to understand the basic phenomena involved in laser-solid target interaction, and ablation, transport, and deposition of material onto appropriate substrates. Basic phenomena related to these processes are discussed in view of recent experimental and theoretical work performed by several groups, with the ultimate goal of optimizing this deposition technique and scaling up for application in technologies such as microelectronicsKeywords
