Quantum Field Theories with Degenerate Lagrangians

Abstract

An algebraic approach is presented to the problem of setting up quantum field theory for classical fields with degenerate Lagrangians. To this end, an algebraic generalization of Dirac's formalism of Poisson brackets with constraints is developed.
