Abstract
A simple formula is derived for the nuclear mass dependence of the adiabatic correction to the Born–Oppenheimer approximation for molecules with zero total angular momentum in nondegenerate electronic states. The importance of this result to the calculation of isotopic exchange equilibrium constants is pointed out. Keywords
