MULTIPLE CALCIFIC EMBOLISM FOLLOWING MITRAL VALVOTOMY

Abstract
The case history is presented of a woman aged 31, suffering from advanced rheumatic valvular disease of the heart, who died four days after a second mitral valvotomy. At necropsy several calcific emboli were found. The significance of these emboli is discussed.Keywords
