Incidence of Immediate and Delayed Hypersensitivity to Candida albicans in Denture Stomatitis

Abstract
The incidence of immediate and delayed hypersensitivity to Candida albicans in 45 patients with denture stomatitis and 100 control patients was investigated. No increase in this incidence was found; it is suggested, therefore, that allergy to the fungus is probably not the cause of denture stomatitis.
