Abstract
Ruby, uranium glass, and a ZnS: Mn sample were studied by means of the phosphorometer in a program of measurement and analysis which included variation of temperature and average exciting intensity. It was not possible to identify any laws of temperature dependence, but there is strong evidence that part of the phosphorescence mechanisms operating in the ZnS: Mn sample involves recombination. Keywords
