Abstract
Under the name of epidermodysplasia hystricoidis bullosa a rare form of a congenital ectodermal malformation is here reported. The patient has been under my observation for more than one year, during which time a thorough study of the clinical symptoms and the histologic features of his disease has led me to the belief, after an exhaustive study of the literature on the subject, that this is so rare a disease that it has never before been reported. REPORT OF CASE The patient is an 18 year old native-born Puerto Rican, who came to this country two years ago. He weighs 91½ pounds (41.5 Kg.) and is 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm.) tall.
