Studies in the cholesterol content of normal human plasma

Abstract
Probable errors and their prevention in the estimation of cholesterol in blood plasma are discussed, and various modifications in the authors'' method are described, by which duplicate results may now be obtained agreeing to within 2%. The results of Sperry concerning the relative constancy of the free cholesterol cholesterol ester ratio in plasma are confirmed, as are, to a certain extent, his results on the changes which take place as a result of the incubation of plasma. though the authors were unable to detect such large alterations.
