Abstract
Saturation magnetizations of bcc iron‐beryllium alloys were measured, and the results were used to calculate mean atomic magnetic moments. The linear rate of change of moment with solute concentration was found to be −2.262±0.108 Bohr magnetons per atom. This was considered to be consistent with a model where beryllium, a nontransition metal solute, dilutes a constant iron moment. Keywords
