Abstract
The recently observed multiple inner-shell Coulomb ionization induced by swift, heavy ions is treated by a semiclassical method. Impact-parameter dependences and multiple ionization probabilities as functions of the projectile energy are given and discussed in relation to experimental data.Keywords
