Abstract
The restoration of prothrombin activity to stored plasma, and similar prepns., by aluminum hydroxide plasma or dicumarol plasma cannot be explained on the basis of a change in the reactivity of nbrinogen. It is suggested that this inactivation of prothrombin is the result of inactivation of a labile group in the prothrombin molecule. This group can be reactivated by other proteins present in plasma and serum. Keywords
