Abstract
The sample holder of the diffuse reflectance attachment of the Beckman spectrophotometer was modified to provide a means of measuring the spectral composition of milk. Conversion of the spectral data into I.C.I. and Munsell notation indicated that no serious error was introduced by fluorescent compounds. A convenient index for routine estimation of the darkening in color of evaporated milk was found by noting the changes in reflectance of light at 520 mu wave length. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
