Abstract
It is well known that multipaths are clustered in time in indoor environments. Characterization of angle of arrive is especially important for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications systems. To characterize the angle of arrival of radio signals, we propose to use the ray-tracing method. Ray-tracing method is intrinsically angle-of-arrival oriented. This paper presents simulation results of angle of arrival for an office environment. It is found that the ray distribution vs. angle-of-arrival has two peaks: one corresponds to the direction from transmitter to receiver, while the other corresponds to the opposite direction. Keywords
