A Voltammetric Study of Compound Formation in the Hg‐Cd‐Te System

Abstract
An isothermal evaporation method by means of a Knudsen cell‐mass spectrometer combination has been applied to the determination of the phase boundaries in the system in the temperature range of 650°–720°C. The phase boundaries obtained in the present study were compared with published phase boundaries. The advantages of the present method over the x‐ray diffraction technique are discussed.
