The Protein Requirement of 4-Week-Old Chicks as Affected by Temperature

Abstract
Two factorial experiments were conducted to study the effect of environmental temperature on the protein requirement of male chicks between 4 and 8 weeks of age. Four levels of protein were tested in each of two environmental temperatures, 21° and 29°C. The protein levels studied were 14, 17, 20 and 23%, and 13, 15, 17 and 19% in the first and second experiments, respectively. The following results were obtained:
