Xe Diffusion in UO2 Single Crystals

Abstract

The release of Xe-133 from UO₂ single crystals and UO₂ fine particles was investigated in He atmosphere in the temperature range of 600—2400°C. The D value obtained was D (cm²/sec) =3.0 x 10^–3 (cm²/sec) exp{ —63,000 (cal/mol) /R T}.
