Plasma Aldolase and Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase Activities in Inherited Muscular Dystrophy of Domestic Chicken.

Abstract
New Hampshire chickens with inherited muscular dystrophy exhibited elevated plasma aldolase and glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (GO-T) activities. Age and sex of birds influenced plasma aldolase activities in both normal and dystrophic groups. GO-T activities varied in different tissues and were greater in a majority of tissues from dystrophic birds when compared to normal birds.
