Multiquark states. II.QQ¯andQ2Q¯2mesons

Abstract

In the previous paper we proposed a phenomenological mass formula based on the MIT bag model. We used it to describe the spectrum of baryon resonances. Now it is applied to the $Q\overline{Q}$ and $Q^2{\overline{Q}}^2$ states. Using the results for the $Q\overline{Q}$ meson spectrum we are able to perform a parameter-free calculation of the $Q^2-{\overline{Q}}^2$ baryonium spectrum. The other orbitally excited $Q^2{\overline{Q}}^2$ configurations are also studied. We find natural interpretations for the narrow $N\overline{N}$ resonances, e.g., for the $S\left(1936\right)\mathrm{}$, which we predict to have $J^{\mathrm{PC}}=2^{--}$ and $I=0, 1, \mathrm{and} 2$ components.
