A Study of the Statistical Distribution of Chemical Pollutants in Air

Abstract

The statistical distribution of air pollutants in Sofia has been investigated. It was established that the distribution is not normal. Application of logarithmic transformation brings the distributions closer to the log-normal, but does not completely normalize them. All of the distributions have considerable skewness and excess which remain after the logarithmic transformation.
