Abstract
Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of thiosemicarba-zones derived from isatin and substituted (5-Me/Cl/Br/NO2 and 1-Bz) isatins are prepared. These complexes have been characterised by elemental analysis, infra-red and reflectance (visible) spectral studies and magnetic moment measurements. The complexes of Co(II) and Ni(II) are proposed to have an octahedral structure, while Cu(II) and Zn(II) are suggested to possess a square-planar environment in the complexes. Keywords
