Abstract

The methods of Mosimann, and Tauber and Petit have been modified for the quick preparation of the enzyme from 5-10 kg liver. The yield is 300 mg/kg. When crystallizing from concentrated solution catalase forms several crystalline forms, 2 of which can be inter-converted by recrystallization.
