Computer experiments for the glass-like phase of two-dimensional spin systems

Abstract
The theory of the glass-like phase (GLP) for a random mixture of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions is proved to be valid on the basis of computer experiments. It is shown that the distribution function of the thermal averages of spins has a single peak in the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic phases, while it has double peaks in the GLP. It is also shown that the specific heat and the susceptibility seem to have a cusp singularity at the transition temperature Tg. A comment for the phase transition is also given.
