Abstract
Measurements have been made of gold diffusing in sodium and show that the diffusion coefficient at room temperature is approximately 400 times greater than that for sodium self-diffusion. These results have a striking resemblance to the fast diffusion of gold in lead. The estimated solubility of gold in sodium is 1·9 × 10−4 at. % at 29°c.Keywords
