Abstract
Collected data of the gross lattice distortion in solid solutions of the First Long Period elements in each other and in copper are given together with similar data for B group solutes in Cu, Ag, and Au. It is shown that there is no correlation between the size of the lattice distortion and the solid solubility of the First Long Period transition metals in copper. Keywords
