Ferromagnetic resonance in Ni-Co alloy platelets at room temperature

Abstract
We have measured the resonance field and linewidths of single‐crystal Ni‐Co alloy platelets at 9.45, 24.82 and 35.49 GHz, at room temperature as a function of field direction. The linewidth anomaly observed in similar experiments was quite small in one such sample. Indirect experimental evidence that the anomaly is due to sample handling is presented. Experimental results are compared with theory based on Landau‐Lifshitz equation. The agreement in the case of the sample without the anomaly is better than in previous studies, but some discrepancies remain.
