Abstract
Of 13 translocations from wheat heploids, 9 involved homoeologous (related) chromosomes. The translocations are believed to have resulted from pairing and crossing of chromosomes having segments in common. The chromosomes involved were: (a) Homoeologues VI and XIX (4 translocations), II and XX (2), XI and XXI (2), XII and XVI (1). (b) Non-homoeologues IV and XII (1), II and VIII (1), DC and XI (1), VI and XVIII(1). The two most frequently involved chromosomes, VI and XIX, are among the smallest of the wheat complement. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
