The dependence of the duration of atmospheric Cerenkov pulses on cosmic-ray shower parameters

Abstract

Measured values of the full width at half maximum of atmospheric Cerenkov pulses from extensive air showers have been used to study the dependence of the parameter on shower development. This pulse width shows a strong dependence on the height of the shower maximum and a functional form of the dependence is presented.
