Abstract
Six of 8 patients with renal tumours were successfully catheterised pre-operatively and the renal artery occluded by a Swan Ganz balloon tipped arterial catheter. At subsequent radical nephrectomy early ligation of the renal vein was readily accomplished and there was noticeable decrease in vascularity and engorgement of the kidney and its tumour. Keywords
