Abstract
An enzyme electrode specific for L-amino acids is described. The electrode consists of alayer of L-amino acid oxidase trapped between alayer of cellophane and acation specific electrode. The L-amino acid diffusesin to the layer of enzyme where it is converted to ammonium ions which are sensed by the cation electrode. Apotential is observed which is proportional to the concentration of L-amino acid. Keywords
