CORAL REEFS OF THE EAST INDIES

Abstract
The writer studied for 15 years numerous coral reefs in the East Indies; every one studied shows conclusive evidence of subsidence. Glacial fluctuation of sea level has been of only minor importance there. There is solvent action of sea water only above low tide level. Widespread sinking of the sea level is stressed. Depth penetration of light and oxygen are discussed. Wind and waves are highly important.
