Abstract
We introduce self-similar variables in the stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) problem and discuss a class of analytic solutions of the SRS equations in the nonlinear transient regime. The distribution of intensities, energies, and passage times are discussed and analytically calculated in the nonlinear regime. Keywords
