Abstract

Repeated inoculations demonstrate that Peridermium coloradense A. & K. is the gametophytic stage of Chrysomyxa arctostaphyli Diet., previous reports notwithstanding. Thus C. arctostaphyli is eliminated as the only familiar exception to Transhel's law, which may apply universally to microcyclic rusts.
