Abstract
A review. The fate of fructose and galactose is compared with that of glucose through the various stages in their intermediary metabolism. Absorption, transportation in the blood, glycogen formation, oxidation, ketolysis and tolerance are considered. The site of transformation to glucose as well as the action of insulin on various processes is discussed. This publication has 23 references indexed in Scilit:
