POSITIVE INJURY POTENTIALS OF THE STOMACH

Abstract

Injury to a region of the mucosa of the dog''s stomach produced a decrease in the potential across the stomach at the site of injury and an increase in the positivity of the injured region to an uninjured region of the mucosa (a positive injury potential). The magnitude of the injury potential was approximately equal to the magnitude of the changes in the potentials across the stomach.
