Abstract
An approximation which minimizes binding and recoil corrections is derived for projectile nucleus elastic scattering. We generalize previous work on single scattering and consider now multiple scattering amplitudes in this approximation. These are expressed in terms of amplitudes for elastic scattering off on-shell target nucleons and form factors. The first nonvanishing correction terms are estimated. Keywords
