Abstract
An 820-ft. multiple sill of Karroo dolerite has been studied micrometrically. The two members are roughly equal in thickness and each shows a concentration of pyroxene and olivine at a higher level than is usual in sills where crystal settling has been operative. The variation of plagioclase and micro-pegmatite is antipathetic to that of the ferro-magnesian constituents. Keywords
