High resolution infra-red spectrum of the 2v3band of NO2

Abstract
The 2v 3 B-type band of NO2 has been measured, assigned and the spin splitting has been accounted for satisfactorily. Ground-state rotational constants have been obtained by fitting 6 microwave pure rotational transitions with 119 ground-state combination differences obtained in this work. The resulting ground-state rotational constants in cm-1 are: where uncertainties are 3σ. Upper-state constants have also been obtained. Anomalous line intensities are observed throughout the band. The most striking of these anomalies is the observation of very strong PRK series even for moderately high K values while no PPK or RPK lines have been observed.
