Abstract
"As one studies psychotherapy interviews, one is struck by the lawfulness and interconnectedness of the events in them. It seems obvious that a patient once launced on a theme is likely to continue on that theme; it seems that various forms of resistance are equivalent, so that one kind can replace another; and it seems that interventions by the therapist occur at predictable times and have predictable effects." Such a conception formed the basis for the present research, was restated in the form of hypotheses which could be, and were, tested and found valid. Keywords
