Abstract
The saturation of the .DELTA.4-double bond of .DELTA.4-3-oxo steroids by rat 5.alpha.-[EC 1.3.1.22] or 5.beta.-reductases [EC 1.3.1.23] is by an enzyme mechanism that does not involve a Schiff-base intermediate. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
