Abstract
The relaxation of a vibrationally excited O molecule in glasses of the Ge-As-Se series is studied at low temperatures by means of time resolved infrared saturation spectroscopy. This experimental study of fourteen different glasses demonstrates that the network topology of the glass is correlated with the vibrational lifetime even though the local bonding of the molecule sets the ps time scale.
