Adenocarcinoma of the prostate: A Comparison of the Disease in Blacks Versus Whites

Abstract
A retrospective analysis was done on 3298 cases of adenocarcinoma of the prostate seen between 1948-1975. There were 2324 black patients (70%) and 974 white (30%). Criteria for comparison included age and stage at original diagnosis and relative survival rates between the groups. This study showed a difference in age and stage but a similar pattern in survival between groups.
