Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of two stereoisomeric derivatives of of 3,4-dihydropyrromethen-5(1H)-one

Abstract

Stable Z- and E-isomers of ethyl 1,3,4,5-tetrahydro-3′,4′-dimethyl-5-oxopyrromethene-5′ carboxylate have been prepared and their configurations determined by X-ray diffraction.
