Hematological Changes Influenced by Short and Long Exposure to Gold

Abstract
Mice of the Swiss strain were exposed to cold air (5[degree] C) for periods of 15 min. and of 5 days, and the effect on erythrocyte number, hemoglobin concn. and blood sugar concn. detd. The only significant change occurred in the blood sugar concn. during the short period of cold exposure. This amounted to an increase of 15% which had a P-value less than 0.001.
