Abstract
3-Hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase activity was found in both mitochondria and brush border membrane fractions of the rat kidney. Differences in properties provide evidence of a nonmitochondrial 3-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase in the brush border membranes. Keywords
