Die Verteilung der Kotsterine des Menschen bei gemischter Kost.

Abstract
About 1/2 the sterol fraction in feces from man on a mixed diet is stercorin. The rest is composed of bromine-binding sterols, chiefly cholesterol With growing men on a diet consisting chiefly of milk and eggs the fecal sterols consist principally of cholesterol though stercorin is also a regular constituent. The addition of 5 gm. of cholesterol dissolved in oil to a mixed diet causes only a slight drop in the proportion of stercorin in the total sterols. After a large dose of cholesterol only a small fraction is excreted in the feces during the first 6 days.
