Abstract
In constructing a new self-report questionnaire for measuring self esteem, the aim has been to satisfy psychometric requirements without sacrificing the intuitive meaning of the concept. Self esteem is seen as a composite, and examination of its components may have more analytic or predictive value than ‘ global’ scores. Preliminary reliability and validity data are encouraging. Keywords
