Abstract
The electric potential produced by a current dipole located arbitrarily within a finite length circular conducting cylinder is obtained in the form of a double summation. The impulse function is employed to satisfy the end cap boundary condition and to reduce a definite integral to a summation. Special cases include expressions for potentials on the cylinder surface and in an infinite slab of conducting medium bounded by two parallel planes. Keywords
