Abstract
A new method is proposed for handling solution samples in spectro-chemical analysis. Speed, good sensitivity, short exposure times, and great ease of handling characterize the method. The rate of transfer of the solution into the analytical gap can be varied from less than 1 ml/100 sec to 1 ml/40 sec, and the total volume of sample carried in the electrode cup may range from 0.2 to 4 ml. The sample is presented to the excitation gap in the form of a very fine spray. The electrodes can be easily fabricated from pure copper, silver, graphite, or other materials.
