Triplet—Triplet Energy Transfer in Rigid Glasses: Lack of a Solvent Effect

Abstract
Experiments were conducted to study the possible effects of the nature of the solvent in triplet—triplet energy transfer between aromatic molecules dissolved in rigid glasses. Electron paramagnetic and emission spectroscopy were used to monitor the energy-transfer processes. Results of the study indicate that the probability of triplet energy transfer is essentially independent of the solvent used.
