Abstract
The amino acid composition of the exuvium of A. simplex was detd. by microbiological assay. The following amino acids were found: alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cystine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, threonine, tyrosine, tryptophan, and valine. Based on composition, comparisons were made with the proteins gelatin and silk fibroin.This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
